Shila the Padawan

After too much Star Wars was crammed down my throat, I caved in and became a fan, and what's a fan without a Star Wars OC? xD

So here's Shila, basically just my fursona if she were in the Star Wars universe

I'll have a reference sheet coming up shortly, and I've started written a story about her, because I just had so many ideas with her I had to get out But here's a bit of info.

She's a crossbreed between a Trianii (starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Triani…) and a Bothan (starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Bothan). She mostly resembles a Trianii, but stands only 1.5 meters tall, like a Bothan. Her mother was the Bothan, but passed away at Shila's birth. Her padawan braid has an heirloom from her mother, a religious symbol that represents balance. It's made from light wood, so it's not to heavy on her braid. Shila is quite religious, like most other Trianii. Trianii mature faster than other species, and are fully mature at 16 (my headcanon).

She lived with her father until she was discovered to be force sensitive and picked up by Jedi to train with them. She eventually became the padawan of a Lurmen master (Master Saa Djin), who saw potential in training her in his style of acrobatic combat due to her short size and prehensile tail. Her first lightsaber was a normal green saber that she wasn't quite satisfied with, but couldn't put her finger on it. She trained with the Lurmen a little before and during the Clone Wars and eventually had to go into combat.

During a mission along with multiple Jedi and Padawans, there was a surprise attack by General Grievous, who started killing them one by one. Shila was led away from her master, and later cornered by Grievous. Lacking experience, she didn't stand up long against him and was soon pinned down as he slowly started to cut through her right arm with one of his lightsabers, but before he was done, her master came to save her and bring her to safety. Grievous stole her saber, but her arm was saved by removing the burned flesh and sewing it together quickly, although quite painful. She has a large scar on her right arm now, but started covering it with a piece of fabric, since people kept asking her about it, and she doesn't want to be reminded of that dreadful moment.

Her new lightsaber was yellow. She crafted it into a double-bladed saber, like her master has, but it has the ability to function like two sabers as well, although she only uses that function for storage and surprise attacks, she is mostly comfortable with the staff. It is leather bound for comfort. She is so much better with a staff than a sword and, like her master, is very skilled in combat with a lot of jumps and acrobatics. She also uses her tail a lot.

Trianii usually don't wear clothes since they have fur, but since most other sentient species does, Shila has to wear some so people don't get uncomfortable. She wears as little as possible though and is not afraid to strip it off if the situation calls for it. She wears a utility belt with all the Jedi needs and a few extra trinkets, like smoke bombs.

Shila left the Jedi Order approx. a year before Order 66 and never became a full-fledged Jedi. She left due to conflicting beliefs between her own religion and the Jedi Order and in the end chose to follow her own beliefs.

What happens to her after that, I can't say, since I'll include it in the story I'm writing.
